ANKOM DELTA Automated Fiber Analyzer with Pump System

The ANKOM DELTA Automated Fiber Analyzer with Pump System is designed to efficiently and accurately determine Acid Detergent Fiber (ADF), Neutral Detergent Fiber (NDF), and Crude Fiber within food and/or feed samples. Enabled by Filter Bag Technology, up to 24 samples can be processed at one time.During analysis cell contents are removed as the encapsulated sample is subjected to the appropriate chemical (AD, ND, or crude fiber acid and base) solutions, leaving the desired fiber fraction. Results are determined gravimetrically.

The filter bags are designed to allow proper flow of solutions while retaining non-soluble components. The fiber residue captured in the filter bag can be used for follow-on assays such as ADIN, NDIN, and ADL.

Like the ANKOM200 and ANKOM2000 Fiber Analyzers, digestion and rinse operations are all performed within the same instrument, allowing for the elimination of the separate filtration step. Process temperatures are precisely controlled while providing proper agitation to ensure a uniform flow of chemical solutions and rinses across each sample.

The ANKOM DELTA Automated Fiber Analyzer with Pump System contains a series of pumps that automatically pull the appropriate chemical into the instrument from a chemical container, i.e. cubetainer. No gravity feed is necessary. The DELTA also has a side access panel and window that allows the user to easily monitor and maintain the instrument.

ANKOM Bulk Chemical Delivery System

The new ANKOMDELTA Automated Fiber Analyzer can connect to a bulk chemical delivery system. This system uses flexible chemical tubing that runs from each instrument valve (pictured above) to the chemical line manifold, with quick disconnect fittings. The manifold lines draw their appropriate solutions from two to four chemical tanks positioned at the end of the table. (The quantity of tanks varies based on the types of analyses performed.) The only port that is not connected to the manifold is the Amylase port. When running an NDF analysis, the user will attach the DELTA Amylase Container to the Amylase port and fill the container with Amylase. A water line is plumbed into the lab’s water source and is the top tube on the manifold.

Each instrument connects to this water line via a tube fitted with an external valve for easy operation to control water flow. The two to four tanks positioned at the end of the table allow for a high volume of runs to be completed before requiring more chemicals to be added by the technician. The Bulk Chemical Delivery System allows the user to use chemical concentrate, eliminating the need for cubetainers
